Zakhchin (Mongolian: Захчин) is an Oirat-Mongol tribe residing in western part of Mongolia. Zakhchin means 'Border people'. They are so called because they're originated form the border garrison (mainly from Torghud, Dörbet, Ööld) of Dzungar Empire.
