Werowocomoco was a village which served as the political center of the Powhatan Confederacy, a grouping of 30 Native American tribes, speaking an Algonquian language which was formed in the coastal plain area they called Tsenacommacah in what is now the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA by the late 16th century.
