Triglav (Monte Tricorno in italian) is the highest mountain in Slovenia (and formerly all of Yugoslavia and the Illyrian Provinces) and the Julian Alps. While its name, meaning "three-headed", can describe its shape as seen from the valley of Bohinj, the mountain may have been named after the Slavic god Triglav, although this hypothesis remains disputed(External Link).
