Taketomi (-jima; 竹富島; Yaeyama: Tēdun Okinawan: Dakidun) is an island in the Yaeyama District of Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. Located a ten-minute boat ride away from Ishigaki island, this island has a village in the center, also named Taketomi.
