Nanortalik is the tenth biggest town of Greenland and is located at on a small island (also called Nanortalik) roughly 100 km from the southern tip of Greenland. Nanortalik is also the administrative center of Municipality of Nanortalik which encompasses about 15,000 km² (5,790 mi²) around the southern tip of Greenland.
