Born Vladimir Ilyich Ulyaov, Lenin was the chairman of the soviet government, the leader of the Bolshevik Revolution; a Russian revolutionary communist politician. He was born on April 10th, 1870, in Ulyanovsk. When he was only 16, his father died, and the next year his elder brother, Alexander, was executed because he was part of a conspiracy to assassinate the Tsar.
