Ingolstadt (Austro-Bavarian: Inglstådt) is a city in the Free State of Bavaria, Germany. It is located along the banks of the Danube River, in the center of Bavaria. As of December 31, 2005 Ingolstadt had 121,801 residents, making it the second largest city in Upper Bavaria after Munich.
