Goole (Britain's premier inland port) is a town, civil parish and port located approximately 45 miles (75 km) inland on the River Ouse in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The population as of the 2001 UK census was 17,600. Goole is twinned with Złotów, Poland (and was twinned with Rostock, north of Germany in 1969 although this seems to have lapsed).
