Electrabel is a Belgian based energy corporation, with power plants and customers across Europe. Electrabel was founded in 1991 when Intercom, Ebes and Unerg merged to form the present company. For a long time the French company Suez held a slight majority stake in Electrabel, but in 2005 that stake increased to 96.7%.
