Vouziers is a town and commune of the Ardennes département, in northern France. The inhabitants are named Vouzinois. Vouziers is the burial place of the First World War fighter ace Roland Garros, from whom the tennis location is named. The town was on the path of totality for the Solar eclipse of August 11, 1999, where it hosted a major observation event.
