Hassop is a village in the local government district of Derbyshire Dales in Derbyshire, England. It developed around a number of lead mines, with such names as "The Brightside", "Backdale", "Harry Bruce", "Waterhole" and "Whitecoe", which lasted until the mid-nineteenth century.
