The Estergebirge is a small mountain range in Bavaria. It is classified either as part of Bavarian Prealps or larger chain of Northern Limestone Alps. The range stretches for about 15 kilometers, from the west is bordered by valley of river Loisach, from the east by Walchensee lake and valley of river Isar. With highest peak Krottenkopf (2086 m) the highest part of the range just exceeds 2000 m level.
