Cisplatin, cisplatinum, or cis-diamminedichloroplatinum(II) (CDDP) is a platinum-based chemotherapy drug used to treat various types of cancers, including sarcomas, some carcinomas (for example small cell lung cancer, and ovarian cancer), lymphomas, and germ cell tumors.
