The even-toed ungulates form the mammal order Artiodactyla (artios even + daktulos toe), the group that contains the pigs, peccaries, hippopotamuses, camels, chevrotains (mouse deer), deer, giraffes, pronghorn, antelopes, sheep, goats, and cattle.
