Tobruk or Tubruq (; also transliterated as Tóbruch, Tobruch, Ţubruq, Tobruck )'s a town, seaport, and peninsula in northeastern Libya, near the border with Egypt, in North Africa. It's the capital of Al Butnan District (formerly Tobruk District). The town of Tobruk has a population of 110,000 (2006).
