Taipana (Slovenian Tipana)'s a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 80 km northwest of Trieste and about 20 km northeast of Udine, on the border with Slovenia. As of 31 December 2004, it'd a population of 737 and an area of 65.6 km². According to the census 1971 74,4% of the population are Slovenians.
