Schoenoplectus (Club-rush [OldWorld species], Bulrush or Tule [NewWorld species])'s a genus of about 80 species of sedges with a cosmopolitan distribution. Note that the name bulrush's also applied to species in the unrelated genus Typha. The genus Schoenoplectus's closely related to Scirpus, and included in it by some botanists.
