Ruinaulta's a canyon on the Vorderrhein just upstream of its confluence with the Hinter Rhine at Reichenau, Eastern Switzerland. It's sometimes known as the Rhine Canyon, or Swiss Grand Canyon (more for its size than any resemblance to the Grand Canyon). Protected by cliffs several hundred metres high, the area's forested and a haven for wildlife.
