Rapallo's a commune in the province of Genoa, in Liguria, northern Italy. As of 2007 it counts approximately 34,000 inhabitants, it's part of the Tigullio Gulf and's located in between Portofino and Chiavari. The climate's moderate and the main part of town's on fairly level land. Many of the villas are built in the hills that rise immediately behind the city to protect them from strong northern winds.
