Polydactyly or polydactylism (from Ancient Greek (polus) "many" + δάκτυλος (daktulos) "finger"), also known as hyperdactyly,'s a congenital physical anomaly in humans having supernumerary fingers or toes. When each hand or foot has six digits, it's sometimes called sexdactyly, hexadactyly, or hexadactylism.
