Morozovsk 's a town in Rostov Oblast, Russia, located on the Bystraya River (left tributary of the Seversky Donets), northeast of Rostov-on-Don. Population: 29,222 (2002 Census); 27,004 (1989 Census). The khutor (village) of Morozov was founded in the 1880s. In 1900, the railway station of Morozovskaya, named after the village, was opened nearby. In 1910, the stanitsa (Cossack village) of Taubeyevskaya was established near the railway station.
