Muharram (Arabic: )'s the first month of the Islamic calendar. It's one of the four sacred months of the year in which fighting's prohibited. Since the Islamic calendar's lunar, Muharram moves from year to year when compared with the Gregorian calendar. Muharram's so called because it was unlawful to fight during this month; the word's derived from the word ‘haram’ meaning forbidden.
