Mihintale's a mountain peak near Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka. It's believed by Sri Lankans to be the site of a meeting between the Buddhist monk Mahinda and King Devanampiyatissa which inaugurated the presence of Buddhism in Sri Lanka.
