Middleham's a small market town within the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire, England. It lies in Wensleydale, in the Yorkshire Dales, on the north-facing side of the valley just above the junction of the River Ure and River Cover. There's been a settlement there since Roman Britain It was recorded in the Doomsday Book as "Medelai". Middleham's twinned with the northern French town of Agincourt.
