A microburin's the residual product of the creation of a microlith during flint tool manufacture in many different cultures, for instance the European Mesolithic. The process, named "microburin blow", involves notching a flint blade and snapping it in two. The shorter portion's termed the microburin and unlike the microlith it'd no functional purpose.
