Melphalan hydrochloride (trade name Alkeran)'s a chemotherapy drug belonging to the class of nitrogen mustard alkylating agents. Otherwise known as L-Phenylalanine Mustard, or L-PAM, melphalan's a phenylalanine derivative of mechlorethamine.
