(West Frisian: Memelik)'s a municipality and a town in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland and the region of West-Frisia. Medemblik received city rights in 1289. Medemblik used to have a castle back in the 1500's but it was destroyed by the Arumer Zwarte Hoop led by Pier Gerlofs Donia and Wijard Jelckama.
