Maxis Software's an American company founded as an independent video game developer in 1987. It's currently a subsidiary of Electronic Arts (EA). Maxis's the creator of the best-selling computer game of all time, The Sims and its sequel The Sims 2, and have recently finished the development and release of Spore.
