Lactoperoxidase's a peroxidase enzyme found in milk. This enzyme has antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. It's able to form reactive bromine and iodine species, resulting in natural organobromine and organoiodine substances, and can therefore be categorised as a haloperoxidase.
