Hauts-de-Seine (92) (literally "Seine Heights")'s a département in France. It's part of the Île-de-France region, and forms part of the western suburbs of Paris. It's small and densely populated and contains the modern office, theatre and shopping complex known as La Défense with its Grande Arche. Geography Hauts-de-Seine and two other small départements, Seine-Saint-Denis and Val-de-Marne, form a ring around Paris, known as the petite couronne (for example "inner ring").
