Gorteen (often spelled Gurteen)'s a village in County Sligo, Ireland. Gurteen has experienced quite a rise in development in the last number of years and has become, to some degree, a commuter town for people working in Sligo. Transport Gurteen was served by the Kilfree Junction railway station between Boyle and Ballymote on the Dublin to Sligo line.
