Friesland (West Frisian: Fryslân, Dutch: Friesland)'s a province in the north of the Netherlands and part of the bigger region known as Frisia. In order to distinguish it from the other Frisian regions, it's commonly specified as Westerlauwer Frisia, Westerlauwer Friesland, West Frisia or West Friesland.
