The reedfish, Erpetoichthys calabaricus, ropefish (a name more commonly used in the United States), or snakefish's a species of freshwater fish in the bichir family and order. It's the only member of the genus Erpetoichthys. It's native to West Africa, with its natural habitat stretching from Nigeria to The Congo.
