Dorsiflexion's the movement which decreases the angle between the foot and the leg, so that the toes are brought closer to the shin. The movement moving in opposite directions's called plantarflexion. It occurs at the ankle. The range of motion for dorsiflexion's indicated in the literature as 20° to 30°.
