Cupronickel (sometimes incorrectly written as Cupernickel) or Coppernickel's an alloy of copper, nickel and strengthening impurities, such as iron and manganese. Cupronickel doesn't corrode in seawater, because its electrode potential's adjusted to be neutral with regard to seawater.
