Bukbuyeo (북부여) (239 BCE - 58 BCE) was an ancient Korean kingdom that was located and ruled in Manchuria. It was founded in 239 BCE by Haemosu, who was a former general and member of the royal family of Gojoseon. Though sources are scant, roughly same geographical area occupied by Bukbuyeo was later identified as the unified state of Jolbon, and the foundation of the incipient state of Goguryeo.
