Bude 's a small seaside resort town in North Cornwall, England, United Kingdom, at the mouth of the River Neet. Bude's twinned with Ergué-Gabéric, France. It's suggested that the modern name's a shortened form of Bude Haven and that this in turn was a corruption of the name Bede Haven meaning "Harbour of the holy men" suggesting Bude might've been a landing place for early Christians.
