Bronnitsy 's a town in Moscow Oblast, Russia, located on the Moskva River 57 km southeast of Moscow. Population: 18,232 (2002 Census); 11,900 (1967). Bronnitsy's known to have been existing since 1453 as the village of Bronichi. It grew as an important station on the highway leading from Moscow to Ryazan and Astrakhan.
