Boulengerochromis's a monotypic genus of cichlid fish. The single species, Boulengerochromis microlepis,'s arguably the largest cichlid, growing to a length of over 90 cm and weighing up to 4-5 kg. This large predatory fish's endemic to Lake Tanganyika in east Africa. The species was originally described as Tilapia microlepis by George Albert Boulenger in 1899.
