Auldearn is a village just outside Nairn in the Highland council area of Scotland. Its population at the 2001 census was 535. NGR The village is situated east of the River Nairn. It takes its name from William the Lyon's castle of Eren (Old Eren), built there in the 12th century. Auldearn is an expanding area, with much development in the last 10 years.
