Apolima's the smallest of the four inhabited islands of Samoa. It's a little less than one square kilometer in size. It's located in Apolima Strait between Upolu and Savai'i and's 2.4 km northwest of the westernmost edge of Upolu's fringing barrier reef and the tiny island of Nu'ulupa.
